Fantastic mysteries: Jindřichův Hradec

Fantastic mysteries
The exhibition of the Czech traveller and writer Arnošt Vašíček presents the insolvable archaeological funds, inexplicable phenomena and further mysterious occurrences and secret rituals.
Arnošt Vašíček took part in several big nautical expeditions and visited 80 countries on five continents. The original exhibits from the author's journeys are completed with the fine museum replicas and more than one hundred of photographies. The exhibition presents the mysteries on the border between reality and fantasy, prehistoric riddles, monkey people, the bloody chupacabra, dwarves, vampires and werewolves, creatures from the darkness and the time of wizards, but it will also deal with unresolved historical questions, biblical mysteries, lost civilizations, and the activities of extra-terrestrial beings.
The exhibition touches, of course, also on the local mysteries - the mysterious apparitions of the White Lady, the case of exorcism in the castle bakery, the scenes on the walls of the Church of St. John the Baptist, the rain of stones in Studená, and the ghost of a soldier from the Thirty Year's War in Nová Bystřice.
The exhibition is located on the top floor of Adam's Building and is accessible as part of the visit to the Castle museum.
